Vetting Standards

STANDARDS

Standards meet or exceed those required by BS 7858.
In particular all recruits for any position in the Company including senior Management are vetted to the following standards:-

  1. For the previous 10 years of employment or to school leaving date
  2. The vetting requires detailed confirmation for all periods of employment or unemployment
  3. Any period unable to be covered by the above procedure is positively vetted by two personal referees of impeccable standing.

In the absence of this no employment is offered.
All employees performing key holding and response duties are accredited through the SIA Licensing program and have therefore been through vigorous checks with the CRB.

PROCEDURES

  1. The previous 5 years employed records is checked by telephone at local office level before any Security Officer is allowed to commence a probationary 3 months service.
  2. It is a requirement of the vetting procedure that the 5 year telephone vet is confirmed in writing during the three month probationary period.
  3. During this period the full vetting period is confirmed in writing to complete the 10 years or back to school date. At any time during this initial three month probationary period the local Operations Manager may terminate an employment if any doubt arises as to the information revealed by the vetting process.

During the period every effort is made to substantiate the information given by the applicant consultation may take place between the Vetting Department and the applicant to obtain further details pursuant to achieving a satisfactory vet.
